The 1972 Chevrolet Corvette with the base 350 cubic inch 5.7L V8 engine (ZQ3) and a 4-speed manual transmission was rated at 200 hp at 4,400 rpm and 300 lb-ft of torque at 2,800 rpm, using the new SAE net measurement system. This car was the last C3 generation model to feature both chrome bumpers, was equipped with independent rear suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes, and had optional power steering and tilt-telescopic steering column.
